News India Live, Digital Desk: Himachal Pradesh Cabinet On Saturday, approved a plan under which consumers will pay a refundable deposit above the price of the non-biodigradedable product, which will be returned when the empty commodity will be returned, stated in an official statement. The ‘Deposit Refund Scheme 2025’ aims to manage and reduce non-biodegradable waste. It will be applied on the pilot basis and will apply on a series of packaging materials including glass bottles, plastic drink containers, aluminum cans, liquid packaging, flexible plastic packaging and multilevel package.
Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu Under the chairmanship of the Cabinet, the Cabinet also decided to fill 700 posts of home defense volunteers in the Department of Home Defense and Civil Defense.
The meeting also approved regularization of services of 203 Panchayat Secretaries (Zilla Parishad cadre), who have completed two years of contract service by 31 March, 2025. Apart from this, the meeting was also approved to transfer Himachal Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) office to Dharamshala.
The amendment to the Postgraduate/Expert Service (PG/SS) policy was approved, under which the compulsory field posting of one year was removed before eligibility for Senior Residency at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda.
It is in line with the policy of AIIMS, Chamiana and is aimed at streamlining the selection processes and reconciling the resident doctor and PG/SS policies.
Additionally, it decided to reorganize the development blocks of the reconciliation, Bhavarna and Bhoranj in Kangra district for the convenience of the people in these areas.
