Kashi became ‘oven’, night temperature also dangerous, yellow alert of rain continues

Varanasi. Kashi, the city of Baba Vishwanath, is currently meditating in the furnace of the sun. During the day, the heat and scorching sun have made people live, but now the most frightening thing is that the nights are not giving relief. The ‘double attack’ of summer continues in Varanasi, where the day as well as the night temperature has reached a record level.

Night mercury reached dangerous level
Usually, after a day -long heat, some coolness is found at night, which gives relief to the body. But now this is not happening. While the maximum temperature in Varanasi is wreaking havoc around 46 degrees, now the minimum temperature (night temperature) is also reaching a dangerous level of 34 degrees. This means that people are facing 24 hours of scorching heat, which is extremely harmful to health.

‘Yellow alert’ of rain, but how much relief?
Amidst this deadly summer, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has released a ‘Yellow Alert’. According to this, today there is a possibility of light rain in the city with dust storm and thunderstorms. However, experts believe that this light rain may increase humidity and less expected to get any major relief from the heat.

For real relief, people will have to wait for the monsoon rain, which is expected to reach the last week of June. Till then, the administration has advised people not to get out of the house in the afternoon, not let the body lack water and especially the children and the elderly.
