The story started on Tuesday night, when a man named Rajesh had an argument with his wife Seema over some issue. This quarrel escalated so much that Rajesh, losing his temper in anger, attacked his own wife with a hammer kept nearby and took her life.

But what happened after this was even more shocking. After killing his wife, Rajesh himself called the police and confessed to his crime, saying, “I have killed my wife.” But by the time the police reached the spot, he had fled from there.

Seema’s maternal family has alleged that Rajesh was an alcoholic and often beat and tortured their daughter for dowry. Police had registered a case of dowry death and taken some people into custody, but the search for Rajesh was going on.
