2. What to donate? (Donation Items)
By donating on the day of Ekadashi one attains eternal virtue. Donating these things on Vijaya Ekadashi is especially fruitful:
Sapta Dhanya (seven types of grains): Donation of wheat, rice, barley, maize, gram, moong and urad is very auspicious.
Yellow items: Lord Vishnu loves yellow colour. Donate gram dal, saffron, turmeric, gold or copper vessel and yellow clothes.
Kalash Donation: Donating a copper or clay pot filled with water, mango leaves and coconut on it to a learned Brahmin is considered a factor of ‘victory’.
Food to the poor: Donating banana, jaggery or cooked food (without garlic and onion) to helpless people relieves financial crisis.
3. Powerful Vishnu Mantras
Chanting these mantras during puja brings mental peace and victory:
Basic Mantra: Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya (at least 108 times).
For success: Om Shri Vishnave Namah
To get rid of enemy obstacles: Om Ram Ram Ramay Namah Ya Ram Raksha Stotra Recite.
For financial gain: Om Lakshmipataye Namah
Special remedies for Vijaya Ekadashi
Tulsi worship: In the evening, light a cow ghee lamp near Tulsi and do 11 parikrama. This gives relief from debt.
People’s Service: By lighting a seven faced ghee lamp under the Peepal tree, the stuck money can be recovered.
Water fast: If health permits, keep a fast without water or fruits and keep vigil at night and do bhajan-kirtan.
