Actually, the foundation of Anandpur Sahib village was laid by Guru Gobind Singh Sahib in 1689. In 1665 Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib built the village of Chak Nanaki in the area between Charan Ganga and Agampur from Chowk, down the road to Kesgarh Sahib.

On 30 August 1700, the hill armies also attacked Fort Fatehgarh Sahib and were badly defeated. Bhai Ude Singh hung the head of Raja Kesari Chand on a pillar and brought it to the place of Qila Fatehgarh Sahib and offered it at the feet of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib. Guru Sahib Ji blessed and named this place as Qila Fatehgarh Sahib. Thus, the second thing is that during the days when this fort was being built, Sahibzada Fateh Singh was born, then Guru Sahib named it Fatehgarh and expressed his happiness and blessed that whoever comes to this place, he will get whatever he desires. Will be completed. There is also an ancient historical well from the time of Guru Sahib, which devotees still come to see. Fort Fatehgarh Sahib is managed by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and is under the management of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib.
