Lucknow is growing rapidly towards realizing many important development projects to further enhance its identity. From the construction of a grand ‘Moti Park’ near Motijheel of Aishbagh to the ‘Smart’ look to Hazratganj, these initiatives are focused on improving the standard of living of the citizens and ensuring the safety of the environment.

City Forest to be made Motijheel: Grand park will be constructed with 7 crores

A magnificent ‘Moti Park’ will be developed at a cost of Rs 7 crore on about 11 hectares of land on the banks of Motijheel located in the Aishbagh region. The park will have a walking track, kiosk, parking and comfortable seating facilities for visitors. The most special thing about this project is that now the sewage without treated will not go in Motijheel. The water flowing in the lake will be treated with an advanced system called ‘Constructed Wetland System’ and released into the lake, which will also protect its ecosystem.

‘Eco-logical zone’ and ‘Shakti Van’ will also be developed on the lines of Atal Park

According to LDA (Lucknow Development Authority) vice -president Prathamesh Kumar, ‘Atal Park’ has already been constructed by removing illegal occupations near Jamuna Lake. Now the Motijheel region will also be developed on the same lines. A new contact route will also be built to reach Moti Park from Aishbagh Road.

Additionally, the vacant land of Bhikhampur near Kukrail River will be developed as a ‘ecological zone’, which will be named ‘Soumitra Van’. The project will be responsible for the LDA, in which the Forest Department will serve as an associate. The Municipal Corporation has also been instructed to speed up the construction work of ‘Shakti One’.

Charak intersection traffic will change, Hazratganj will get uniform ‘smart’ look

One of the busiest areas of Old Lucknow, the traffic design of the Charak intersection will also be improved. Currently, the rotary located on the roadside was obstructing the traffic flow. The road will be widened by bringing it in the middle. Also, the road from Lemon Park to Charak intersection will also be reconstructed and widening.

Lucknow’s ‘Dil’ Hazratganj will now get a new ‘uniform and smart’ look. Under the ‘Facade Control Guideline’, the color and design of the shops, buildings, signage, street lights, benches and railings here have been finalized. Merchants have also been shown its live samples so that they can easily understand the changes to come. Along with this, instructions have also been given to take immediate action on problems like sewer and water supply raised by traders.

These comprehensive development plans will not only add beauty to the beauty of Lucknow, but will also provide facilities, better environment and smooth traffic to the citizens.
