It is very important to observe this holy fast with full rituals, so that one can get the full results of the puja. Come, let us know the complete method of Karva Chauth from morning to evening puja:

Start your day in the morning like this:
Wake up before sunrise on the day of Karva Chauth. First of all, wake up in Brahma Muhurta and take a proper bath. After bathing, definitely consume ‘Sargi’ (food eaten before sunrise), so that energy remains throughout the day. Then salute your Gods and Goddesses with folded hands and take a pledge to observe the fast of Karva Chauth with all your heart. This resolution will give you mental strength to fast throughout the day.

Evening Puja: Do each thing carefully!
When the auspicious time for puja arrives in the evening, start preparing for the puja with full devotion.

• Place of worship: First of all, prepare a plank (small space) at your worship place by applying it thoroughly with ocher. Now make a beautiful picture of Maa Karva on this board with rice flour. If drawing by hand seems difficult, that’s okay! Nowadays, beautiful printed calendars are easily available in the market, you can use them also.
• Beginning with Ganeshji: Like every auspicious work, the worship of Karva Chauth should also start by paying obeisance to Lord Shri Ganesha. Place a stool at your place of worship and install a beautiful idol or picture of Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati and Lord Ganesha sitting in their lap on it.
• How to decorate Karva: Now get an earthen pot for worship, fill it with holy water and install it at the place of worship. For making Vayana (i.e. offering) get another earthen vessel which has a small spout (Tontidar Karava). In this karva, you have to fill wheat and fill its lid with sugar powder (ground sugar). Keep some money as Dakshina as per your capacity on this entire tax. Finally, make sure to make a Swastika symbol on this Karve, a symbol of auspiciousness.
