News India Live, Digital Desk: Google Cloud Outage: In the past, if your spotify had suddenly stopped, or Snapchat was not working, then the problem was not in your phone or internet connection. In fact, the root of this major disturbance was in the world’s largest tech company Google, a small mistake of which shook internet services worldwide.
Many people felt that this could be a big cyber attack, but now Google itself has come forward and described the real reason for this incident.
Google said that this was not a cyber attack, but it was his own technical mistake. It happened that Google was making a small update or change in its huge network system. But due to a human mistake, this small change accidentally applied to a very large part instead of a limited area.
You can understand this in such a way that the power of the entire city has been cut by mistake in the process of fixing the electricity of one street.
Google Cloud: Internet Spine
You must be wondering why Spotify or Snapchat closed by Google’s mistake? The answer is ‘Google Cloud’,
In today’s time, most of the big apps and websites on the Internet (such as Spotify, Snapchat, Discord etc.) do not make their own servers to store and run their data. She uses cloud servers of companies like Google. When this ‘cloud’ system of Google came to a standstill, all these services running on it were also closed automatically.
Google apologizes, promised for future
Google has apologized for the problem of users due to this big disturbance. The company said that they have identified the root of the problem and fixed it. Also, for the future such mistakes are not made again, they are making necessary changes in their system so that no update can be implemented together on such a large scale.
This incident shows us how much our digital world depends more on some big companies and a small lapse can affect crores of people.
