Washington (DC): Google will now show the Gulf of Mexico in its new maps as the Gulf of America, but will show as the Gulf of Mexico in Mexico.
Google had to take such a decision that a few days ago the newly elected President of America Donald Trump announced the change of Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America. For this, he also told Google. So Google changed the name of Mexico’s Gulf to America in its new maps.
Mexico has raised strong objections against this and kept only the Gulf of Mexico in the map shown in Mexico.
Google has also to change some other names. Since the highest mountain of Alaska was named Mount McKinse in 1917 after the 25th President of America. But by 2015, the Obama administration changed the name of the mountain to Mound Dinavi.
Trump has changed many geographical names as soon as he arrives.
On the other hand, President Claudia Shinbo in Mexico said that now we will call America Mexico America.
