The government is tightening its grip on illegal colonies in Gurugram. If you too are thinking of building or have built a house in such a colony, then be careful. The government is now going to take strict action against those who set up illegal colonies and build houses in them. For this, a survey has also been completed, in which these colonies have been identified. Let us give you complete information about this matter. What is the whole matter? The news is that preparations are being made to file an FIR against 208 land owners and property dealers in connection with the establishment of 11 illegal colonies in Gurugram. The Town and Country Planning Department has also written a letter to the Gurugram Police in this regard. Not only this, the Tehsildar has also been informed to stop the buying and selling of land in these colonies. Illegal cutting was taking place here. According to the report, these colonies were being cut illegally on about 24 acres of land. These include areas like Farrukhnagar, Dhankot, Jatauli, Bohada Kalan, Baghanki and Pataudi. Investigation has revealed that there are around 200 owners of this land and eight property dealers are also involved. Maximum illegal felling was taking place in Pataudi and Farrukhnagar blocks. What action will be taken now? The department has sent show cause notices to all these land owners and property dealers. If satisfactory response is not received, orders will be given to demolish these colonies. Meaning, they will be completely demolished and turned into debris. The recommendation to file an FIR has already been made, and whatever cost of demolition will be incurred will also be recovered from these people. If these people do not pay the money, then this amount will be compensated from their car, land and property. What are the officials saying? DTPE (District Town Planner) has made it clear that a recommendation is being sent to register a case against the people who developed these 11 colonies. Apart from this, those building illegal dhabas and warehouses will also not be spared. The Tehsildar has been informed to stop any kind of buying and selling in these colonies. Apart from the illegal colonies, cases will also be registered against those who are building dhabas and warehouses without permission. The department has recommended action against seven such people, including Sawariya Dhaba of Sidhrawali village and Khushhal Hotel of Bohada Kalan. What does the law say? Action will be taken against all these people under the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975. According to this law, no farmer or land owner can do any kind of construction on the land without the approval of the department.
