Utility Desk, New Delhi. The Central Government has started the new phase of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana to free the women of rural and economically weaker sections from smoke. According to the latest update of the scheme, now eligible families will not only get a free gas connection, but will also be given a free gas stove and first refill. Apart from this, the government has also announced a direct subsidy of ₹300 for the beneficiaries, which will provide a big relief to the kitchen budget.

By expanding this scheme, the government aims to provide clean fuel to every household in the country and protect the health of women from the harmful smoke of traditional stoves.

Ujjwala Yojana 2026: What are the new benefits and subsidies?

The government has now made this scheme more beneficial than ever:

Free Kit: The new beneficiaries will be given an LPG connection, gas stove and first refill completely free of cost.

Cash subsidy of ₹300: Now, on every cylinder refill, a subsidy of ₹ 300 will be directly transferred (DBT) to the bank account of the beneficiaries. With this, gas cylinders will be available at a much cheaper price than the market price.

health Protection: Rural women will get relief from respiratory diseases and eye problems caused by traditional stoves.

To avail the benefits of the scheme, it is mandatory to have the following conditions and documents:

Eligibility: The applicant must be female only and must be above 18 years of age. There should not be any existing LPG connection in the name of any member of the family.

Document Upload: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents and ‘Submit’ the form.
