H-1B, green card holders will have to keep 24 hours identity card

Washington: The US President Donald Trump has been facing many difficulties since taking charge for the second term and has been in danger of measures including exile. Trump started the biggest campaign to evacuate illegal immigrants from the country as soon as he came to power. Now the Trump government has ordered that the legally residing in the US, including people with H1-B visas and green cards, will have to keep an identity card with them 24 hours. With this, the government has declared 6,000 living immigrants dead, which has increased the pressure on them to return home.

A federal court has given relief to the Trump government amidst strict opposition to exile of illegal immigrants in the US. A federal court has approved the rule of Trump administration under which every person living illegally in the US will have to register with the government and keep documents with them 24 hours. Following the court order, the Trump administration has now announced that not only illegal immigrants, but also immigrants living in the US on any legal status including H1-B visa, student visa or green card will also have to keep evidence of their legal status for 24 hours.

The Trump administration announced on 25 February that it would be mandatory for illegal immigrants to register with the federal government. Those who do not register themselves will have to face fine or punishment. A fine will be considered for non -registration. This rule has come into effect from Friday.

The new rule of Trump administration, Trump’s executive order, has come into force from April 11, as part of the ‘security of American people against invasion’. This is another important step taken by the US President to crack down on millions of immigrants living illegally in the US. The Foreign Registration requirement (ARR) has roots in the Foreign Registration Act of 1940. This 1940 law made it mandatory for all immigrants living in the US, ie those who were not American citizens, but were not strictly implemented. However, now the new rules in the Trump administration will be implemented very strictly.

However, people having legal visas including H1-B or student visa and green card have been exempted from registration. However, they have to keep their documents 24 hours with them. The Trump administration said in a statement that all people over the age of 18 who are not American citizens will have to keep their documents with them all the time. If they do not have proper documents, they may face strict action including exile.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration has declared 6,000 living immigrants ‘dead’ and canceled their social security numbers. As a result, it will now be impossible for such people to work in the US and take advantage of health services. It will also be difficult for them to open a bank account. The government wants these immigrants to be so disappointed that they should leave America themselves and return to their country.

Indeed, these immigrants were allowed to temporarily enter the United States and work under the CBP-1 program of former President Joe Biden. He was given a social security number. But now that the Trump administration has canceled this number, they will not be able to use other basic services, including opening bank account, taking advantage of health services, etc. The Trump government’s move is being seen as part of the plan to curb the immigrants.
