News India Live, Digital Desk: Everything is going well, you are busy with your work and suddenly your mobile rings. A message comes that a challan of Rs 500 or Rs 1000 has been deducted for your vehicle and a link is given below to fill it. It is obvious that any decent person would be afraid that the police might come to his house or he might have to go to the court. Just taking advantage of our nervousness, some clever fraudsters are emptying bank accounts these days.

This scam is spreading a lot these days. The fraudsters send you a message that looks exactly like ‘Department of Transport’. The language given in this message is such that you feel that the matter is very urgent. As soon as you click on that blue link, a website opens in front of you which looks exactly like a government site. There you are asked to make ‘payment’ and as soon as you enter your banking details or UPI Pin, the money goes not to the department but to the pockets of the fraudsters.

Now the question is how will you differentiate between real and fake?

If you pay a little attention, it is very easy to catch this theft. The first thing is that at the end of any genuine website of the Government of India, ‘.gov.in’ It happens. Fraudsters often manipulate it a bit, like they will use ‘.org’ or ‘.com’ or change one letter in the spelling of ‘parivahan’. Secondly, genuine messages always come from official sender ID and not from some random 10 digit mobile number.

If you also receive such a message, then it is best that you do not trust the link in that message. you go to Google yourself ‘e-Challan Delivery’ search or mParivahan app Use. Enter your vehicle number there, if there is actually a challan then it will be clearly visible there.

Be sure to give this information to the elders in your house as well because they often get nervous in technical matters. Remember, a little vigilance can keep your hard-earned money safe. Have you ever received such a fake message? Do share your experiences in the comments so that others can also save themselves.
