Prayagraj, June 07 (HS). The Allahabad High Court, while directing to hear the petition of the candidate appearing in the PCS J Main Examination 2022 on July 1, said that the Public Service Commission should present the answer sheets of all the 6 question papers of the candidate before the court.
In line with the earlier order passed by the court, the Public Service Commission had submitted the necessary information regarding the petition to the court. The commission said that no record related to this examination will be destroyed until the petitioner's case is resolved.
Petitioner Shravan Pandey has alleged that the handwriting in his English answer sheet has been changed and some pages of another answer sheet have been torn. Due to which he could not pass the main examination. This order has been given by the division bench of Justice Siddharth Verma and Justice Manish Kumar Nigam on the petition of Shravan Pandey.
The petitioner said that he appeared in the 2022 PCS J main examination. The result of which was released on 30 August 2023. The petitioner was not satisfied with the marks he got in the main examination. When he sought information from the commission under RTI, he got information about the marks obtained in 6 question papers. It was found that he got only 47 marks out of 200 in the English question paper. Dissatisfied with this, he demanded to show the answer sheets of 6 question papers under RTI. On looking at the answer sheets, it was found that the answer sheet of English subject did not have his handwriting, which he had written in other question papers. Also, three four pages of the Hindi answer sheet were found torn.
On this, the Court directed the Public Service Commission to present all the 6 answer sheets of the petitioner before the court so that by matching them it can be ascertained whether the handwriting in the English answer sheet is of the petitioner or not.
