Heart Inflammation: Do not ignore stomach swelling and chest pain

News India Live, Digital Desk: Heart inflammation: In today’s run -of -the -mill life, if you feel a little tired, or there is mild swelling in the body, then most of us avoid it as common. Sometimes stomach upset, sometimes seasonal disease… but wait! Do you know that these normal looking symptoms can sometimes be a gesture of a serious and quietly flourishing disease – that is your ‘heart inflammation’? Yes, this is a situation that can prove to be fatal even if it is not caught in time.

‘Inflammation of the heart’ can actually be three types, which affects different parts of the heart:

  • Myocarditis: When there is swelling in the heart muscle.

  • Pericarditis: When there is swelling in the outer shell (membrane) of the heart.

  • Endocarditis: When there is swelling in the inner chamber or valve of the heart.

So how to identify that it is inflammation of the heart? These are the common but dangerous signs that you should immediately pay attention:

  1. Persistent Fatigue: If you always feel tired without any hard work, or weakens are engaged, then it can be a warning.

  2. Swelling in body parts: If there is sudden swelling in the hands, feet, heels or stomach, then it can be a sign of not working properly. Because there is difficulty in extracting water from the body when the heart is weak.

  3. Shortness of Breath: Even if your breath starts swelling even when walking a little or doing a minor work, it can be a big symptom of deteriorating heart health.

  4. Chest pain/discomfort: Feeling chest pain, tightness or pressure. This pain can be mild or sharp and can often grow while exercising or lying at night. Never ignore it as gas or acidity.

  5. Low-Grade Fever, Flu-Like Symptoms: If you often have mild fever without any reason, feel like pain or cold in the body, then do not consider it viral.

  6. Irregular Heartbeat/Palpitations: If your heart starts beating rapidly, or the heart feels uncontrollable, or beats intermittently, talk to the doctor immediately.

  7. Joint pain or dry cough: In some cases, heart swelling may cause joint pain or such cough that is not happening right.

Why does all this happen?

Inflammation in the heart is often caused by an infection (viral, bacterial or fungal), autoimmune disease (when the body itself attacks its organs), some drug side effects or any other underline medical condition.

What to do?

If you are constantly feeling any of these symptoms, see a doctor immediately. Timely investigation (eg ECG, echocardiogram, blood test) and treatment can cure this serious condition and save your heart. Remember, everything is there!
