Heat Wave in Uttar Pradesh: Children’s holidays increased till June 30, but teachers will have to come to school

In view of the deadly heat and heat in Uttar Pradesh, the government has taken a big decision to give relief to the children. Summer holidays in all council and recognized schools from class 1 to 8 of the state have now been extended till 30 June 2024.

This means that now all these schools will open on 1 July 2024 (Monday). Earlier these schools were to be opened from June 28, but this decision has been changed for the safety of children in view of the dangerous trend of weather.

Teachers and staff have not got leave

It is important to note that this increased holiday is only for students. All teachers and other staff will have to come to school from June 28 as per the earlier order. They have to come to school and check arrangements like cleanliness, toilets, drinking water and complete the process of admission of new children, so that when the children come to school on July 1, they do not have any problem.

This decision has been issued by the Secretary of the Basic Education Council and its purpose is to protect children from the outbreak of scorching heat.
