News India Live, Digital Desk: Holy Month: One of the most sacred and devotional months of Hinduism, Sawan month has started a grand launch today. As soon as the first ray of spring broke, there was a huge crowd of devotees to see and worship Lord Bholenath in Shiva temples across the country. In the pagoda, the atmosphere echoed with the cheers of ‘Har-Har Mahadev’, ‘Jai Bholenath’ and ‘Bum-Bamb Bhole’ since morning. Since morning, devotees are offering water, milk, belpatra, dhatura, cannabis and sandalwood on Shivling and perform Jalabhishek and Rudrabhishek. It is believed that in the month of Sawan, Lord Shiva himself comes to earth and blesses his devotees and fulfills all his wishes. This whole month is considered extremely auspicious for worshiping Lord Shiva and penance. Every Monday of Sawan has special significance, and these days Shiva temples are made on seeing the flood of devotees. Devotees celebrate this holy month dedicated to Lord Shiva by fasting and performing various rituals. In this confluence of devotion and faith, every devotee is seen painted in the color of Mahadev.
