Shravasti: Today, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya visited Shravasti district. During this, he participated as the chief guest in the ‘Gram Chaupal’ program organized by the Rural Development Department and addressed the local public. He stressed that the purpose of Gram Chaupals is to bridge the distance between the government and the public so that the benefits of development schemes reach the eligible persons directly. The Deputy Chief Minister inspected the stalls set up by self-help groups under the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) and appreciated the entrepreneurship of women. House keys, nutritional food for children and women and other support materials were distributed to the beneficiaries of various government schemes. He listened to the problems of the local villagers and directed the officials for their prompt disposal. The Deputy Chief Minister called upon all the workers and officials to implement the schemes of the Central and State Government. Play your active role in reaching out to the people.
