News India Live, Digital Desk: Hopes of Nimisha Priya’s Return Are High: An important news has come out about the release of Indian nurse Nimisha Priya facing death punishment in Yemen. Prominent Christian preacher K.A. Paul has claimed that Nimisha Priya will soon return to India after releasing Yemen. Paul has expressed gratitude to the Government of India, especially Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Ministry of External Affairs for this, whose untiring efforts are making it possible. According to Paul, Nimisha’s hanging has been stayed by the Supreme Court of Yemen at present. He said that negotiations are going on through the United Nations and Oman Sultanate to ensure Nimisha’s return. As a result of these ‘efforts behind the curtain’, there has been a strong possibility of release. The case is related to the murder of a Yemeni citizen, Talal Abdo Mahdi, for which Nimisha Priya has been convicted and was given the death penalty. The biggest obstacle in Nimisha Priya’s return was to raise ‘Diyat’ i.e. ‘blood money’, which has to be paid in the form of compensation to the family of the deceased so that she can forgive the fan. However, due to laws related to the financing of terrorism, Nimisha’s family cannot collect this amount directly from India. Paul said that he himself has made a lot of efforts in this direction, which includes meetings with Prime Minister Modi and Union Ministers, where he appealed to intervene on this sensitive issue. Paul expressed confidence that in the next few days, the complete arrangement for Nimisha Priya’s return to India would be made. At first Nimisha’s mother and daughter tried to go to Yemen, but they could not do so due to international restrictions and complex situation there. The Government of India has been making efforts on its side on its behalf for a long time on this matter. Now K.A. Paul’s claim has awakened a new ray of hope in this long struggling case, which can give wings to Priya’s dreams to return to India.
