He has clearly said that if he reaches the White House after winning the elections again, he will not hesitate at all in imposing heavy taxes on countries like India, which impose high taxes on American goods.
Addressing an election rally in Orlando, Florida, Trump explained his trade policy in very simple terms.
He said, “It’s a very straightforward policy. It’s called ‘tit for tat’.” He further clarified, “If India imposes 100% tax on us, we will also impose 100% tax on them. If they impose 200% tax on us, we will also impose 200% tax.”
To explain his point more easily, Trump once again used his favorite example, harley-davidson motorcycle, Mentioned. He said that countries like India impose heavy taxes of 100% or 200% on American products like Harley-Davidson, making it almost impossible to sell these products there.
