Mau, 28 August (HS). On Wednesday, Sarayalkhasni police station and revenue team seized the illegal property of Sudhir Singh, son of mafia Ramesh Singh Kaka. The estimated cost of the property is Rs 70 lakh seven thousand.

According to the information, Sudhir Singh, son of government-identified mafia Ramesh Singh Kaka, had purchased immovable property in the name of his sister Sudha Singh in 2018 in Col Baj Bahadur Pargana Nizamabad Tehsil Sadar District Azamgarh from the money earned from crime. That property was only sold with the intention of hiding illegal property. The accused's sister was only the visible landowner of the transferred land, while the actual owner was gang leader accused Sudhir Singh.

Sudhir Singh and his sister do not have any legitimate source of income from which they could purchase that plot. After this, the Superintendent of Police, Mau, recommended to complete the illegal plot on 13 August 2024. On 21 August 2024, an order was passed to confiscate the said illegal plot under Section 14 (1) of the Gangster Act, which was confiscated by the Sarayalkhasni police station on Wednesday.
