Importance of a sacrificial life.

It is considered mandatory to give up something to get something. Take our body only, to breathe we have to exhale first, only then newness and activity is infused into the internal structure of this body. Renunciation gives maturity to our spiritual personality by separating us from worldly attachments. All the material possessions, things and materials that are there in this world are created in different ways for human beings to live a proper life.

Every thing in this world is made for enjoyment and attainment of salvation, hence man should use all worldly material things with a view of renunciation. The habit of continuous accumulation of perishable material wealth binds man in the bondage of greed and desire. Whatever materials man has got for use in this world will definitely come to an end.

That is, one day or the other we have to separate from all those things. Sacrifice greatly increases a person's true dignity. When Shri Ram was in the palace, he was called King and when he left the palace, then Lord Purushottam was called Shri Ram.

When Siddhartha Gautam adopted the ideal of renunciation, he became known as Gautam Buddha. Without sacrifice, real happiness and peace cannot be imagined. Sacrifice is an essential rule of life. There is no path to happiness without sacrifice. Being tied to material worldly things is the root cause of suffering in life.

To attain happiness one has to adopt the ideal of sacrifice. The habit of accumulating material wealth makes a person internally hollow. The collection of these perishable wealth will definitely get destroyed one day or the other. Adopting the ideal of renunciation in life brings inner satisfaction and abundant happiness.
