Jammu and Kashmir BJP damage control: All the parties have started campaigning vigorously for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Meanwhile, BJP's national president JP Nadda has made several organizational changes in Jammu and Kashmir. Sat Sharma has been appointed as the working president of Jammu and Kashmir for the upcoming assembly elections, while Nirmal Singh has been appointed as the president of the state election campaign committee and Chaudhary Sukh Nandan has been appointed as the vice-president of the state election campaign committee. This change of the party is being seen as damage control. In fact, there was resentment among the local leaders of BJP after some senior leaders were dropped.

In fact, BJP is constantly trying to convince those senior leaders who have not got tickets this time and who are angry. Former BJP president and former minister Sat Sharma has been given this new responsibility as the working president of Jammu Kashmir BJP. Former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh has been appointed the chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Election Campaign Committee, while Kavindra Gupta has been made the chairman of the BJP's election management committee.
In the 6 lists announced by BJP, many big names have been dropped
Let us tell you here that till now BJP has declared 6 lists of candidates for Jammu and Kashmir. In which tickets of many big leaders of BJP have been cut. Due to which there was discontent in the party as well. BJP now wants to do damage control by giving organizational responsibility to these leaders.
Former CM was also removed in the sixth list
The BJP on Sunday announced its sixth list of candidates for the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. A total of 10 candidates were announced in this list, out of which five were Muslim candidates. The party has fielded Dr. Bharat Bhushan from the Kathua assembly seat. Former Deputy Chief Minister Kavinder Gupta has not been given a ticket from his Gandhi Nagar seat.
Jammu and Kashmir, how many seats in which region?
There are a total of 90 assembly seats in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. 47 seats are in Kashmir and 43 seats are in Jammu region. Before the delimitation, till the 2014 elections, there were 87 seats, out of which 37 seats were in Jammu and 46 seats in Kashmir. Ladakh also had four seats. After the change in the status of the state, Ladakh has become a separate union territory. In the delimitation that followed, six seats increased in Jammu and one seat in Kashmir.
