News India Live, Digital Desk: The weather patterns have suddenly changed in Bihar. Where there used to be a feeling of rosy cold in February, now the heat of the sun has started troubling people. In many districts including Patna, Siwan, Vaishali and Bhojpur, the maximum temperature has crossed 30 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), the heat is going to increase further in the coming days.
Feeling like ‘May-June’ in February itself!
As the speed of westerly winds slows down in the plains of Bihar, the sun has become intense. Fans have started running during the day in most parts of the state. According to the latest report, a huge increase in temperature has been recorded in Patna, Siwan, Vaishali and Bhojpur. The mercury also remained between 28 to 30 degrees in districts of north-central Bihar like Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur and Darbhanga.
Still ‘pink cold’ at night, scorching sun during the day
This dual nature of weather has increased the problems of the people. On one hand there is scorching sun and sweaty heat during the day, on the other hand a slight cold is still being felt during the night and morning. However, the fog and dew have now completely disappeared. Doctors say that this sudden change in weather can increase the risk of cold, cough and viral fever.
Weather Forecast for next 4-5 days
According to the Meteorological Department, between February 20 and 23, the mercury can go up to 32 degrees Celsius in many districts of Bihar.
North Bihar: The temperature in Sitamarhi, Madhubani, and Samastipur is expected to reach 30-32 degrees.
South Bihar: The minimum temperature in Patna, Gaya, and Nawada will be around 14-16 degrees and the maximum will be around 30 degrees.
At present, there is no possibility of rain for the next one week, due to which the period of dry weather and increasing heat will continue.
