Nagpur: About 40 km from Nagpur city of Maharashtra, the factory of explosives of Solar Group was once again shaken in Bazaargaon. At midnight on Wednesday, there was a strong explosion in a company’s unit, which was heard far and wide.
According to the company management, 10 laborers were injured in this accident, who were immediately admitted to a private hospital in Nagpur. According to initial reports, the condition of three laborers was said to be quite critical, one of which succumbed during treatment. The people present there said that the blast was so powerful that the entire unit was destroyed.
Police reached the spot and started investigating the case. A heavy police force was stationed at the scene throughout the night and a crowd of concerned people gathered at the factory gate.
This is not the first time that such an accident happened in this factory of solar group. This is the second major explosion within two years. Remind you that nine laborers of the same factory lost their lives in a terrible explosion in December 2023.
The hospital’s ICU in -charge doctor Nripal Dhande said, “We were informed of the explosion in the factory at around 1:30 pm. Initially four patients were brought here, two of whom had serious head injuries and their condition was critical. They are immediately kept on ventilator. The rest of the patients have been discharged after primary treatment, but seven patients are also being discharged.”
The company also supplies explosives and ammunition for the Indian armed forces. Former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh also reached the spot as soon as the incident was received. A company official said that the blast was limited in the same building and all the workers except some injured were taken out in time. At present, the condition of two laborers is still worrying.
