Sonbhadra, 17 August (HS). On Friday night at around 8 o'clock in Bachra village of Babhani police station area, a son killed his mother by hitting her repeatedly on the head with a hammer. After this, he wrapped the body in a cloth and set it on fire by sprinkling petrol. On receiving the information, PRB and Babhani police reached the spot, took the half-burnt body in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. This incident caused a sensation in the village.
Kamlesh Devi (50) wife of late Satyanarayan, a resident of Bachra village, had a dispute with her son over selling a goat. The son wanted to sell the goat, but his mother refused, which made him angry. When the son Kishun Bihari came home at 8 o'clock on Friday night, he started beating his mother. After this, he saw a hammer kept in the house and started hitting his mother's head with it. His mother Kamlesh Devi fell on the ground due to the hammer blow and died after some time. After the mother died, the son wrapped her body in a cloth and sprinkled petrol on it and set it on fire, due to which she started burning fiercely. By then the neighbors came to know about it.
On the information of the neighbors, PRB-112 reached the spot and after extinguishing the burning body, informed the police. Sub-inspector Abhay Nath Singh of Babhani police station reached the spot with his force. The police took the half-burnt body in their custody and sent it for post-mortem. On the other hand, sensation spread in the village after the incident. Sub-inspector Abhay Nath Singh said that inquiry is being done about the incident and higher officials have also been informed. On the complaint of the deceased's brother, a case has been registered against the son and investigation is being done.
