Dhaka : India has recently launched a campaign to send back Bangladeshis who illegally enter the country illegally. Under this, hundreds of people have been sent back by 4 May 2025. Recently, Bangladeshis once again tried to cross the border and enter the country, causing a tense situation on the Indo-Bangladesh border. According to the information received, there was a clash between the soldiers of the two countries on the Assam-Bangladesh border on Tuesday (27 May).
Efforts to send Bangladeshis back
According to media reports, the Border Security Force (BSF) and Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) came face to face in two different areas of Kurigram and Manakachar in Assam. BSF personnel were trying to send 14 people back to Bangladesh, including 9 men and 5 women, who were trying to enter the No-Mains Land.
BGB attempt to obstruct
This time, the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) forces tried to obstruct the movement. BSF jawans opened fire to bring the situation under control. But BGB has denied this claim and said that the situation has been handled in a peaceful manner. Some Bangladeshi were caught crossing the border. These people are still stranded in No-Mains Land.
Stressful situation on Assam border
On Monday (May 26), there is also a tense situation on the Thakur Bari border in the Manakchar sector of Assam. There was also a firing between the armies of the two countries here. BGB also tried to stop the clash, but the BSF started firing on the zero line. The whole situation had deteriorated for some time.
At present, senior security officers have reached the spot to bring the situation under control. Although the situation has been controlled, tension remains. All these incidents are happening at a time when political instability has arisen in Bangladesh. Apart from this, the tension between India and Bangladesh is increasing day by day. The situation is very critical.
Political instability in Bangladesh
Political turmoil is currently going on in Bangladesh. The resignation of Mohammad Yunus, the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, is demanding the resignation. In addition, there has been an increase in incidents of violence and crime in Bangladesh once again. This has created an atmosphere of resentment in the public. Amidst this tension, Mohammad Yunus has played a political game.
Yunus has commented on Hindus. He has assured to prioritize the safety of Hindus and other minorities. The question is arising that what is the real motive of Younus behind it. Because at this time preparations are going on to overthrow the government of Yunus in Bangladesh.
