News India Live, Digital Desk: Recently, a new multinational technical alliance ‘Pox Silica’ has been formed under the leadership of America. Its objective is to create a secure and innovative silicon supply chain that will cover critical sectors such as semiconductors, AI infrastructure and logistics. This group includes countries like Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Israel, United Arab Emirates and Australia. But the surprising thing is that India has not got a place in this important group.

The Congress Party has launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding this absence of India. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh has described this as the result of ‘sharp deterioration in Trump-Modi relations’. He says that after May 10, 2025, relations between Trump and Modi have soured, and perhaps that is why India has not been included in this group. Jairam Ramesh has clearly said that if India was a part of this group, it would have been beneficial for our country.

The Congress also took a jibe at the fact that the news came on a day when Prime Minister Modi had enthusiastically posted about his phone call with US President Donald Trump, whom he had once hugged several times in Ahmedabad, Houston and Washington DC.

The ‘Pox Silica’ initiative aims to counter China’s growing technological dominance and strengthen America’s role in the critical minerals and AI revolution. In such a situation, India’s exclusion from this important technical alliance raises many questions and is being discussed a lot in political circles.
