Indian and Chinese companies trapped in Iran’s oil trap, why action was taken:

News India Live, Digital Desk: America’s Big Action : America has taken strict action against some Indian and Chinese companies regarding oil business with Iran. America says that these companies were helping Iran avoid sanctions and the money coming from it was being used for some work which creates instability in the region.

What is the whole matter?

Recently, the US Treasury Department has taken a big step. They have imposed restrictions on a network which includes 13 companies. These companies were helping in illegal buying, selling and shipping of Iranian oil and petrochemical products. America alleges that these companies were helping Iran avoid international sanctions so that it could sell its oil and earn money from it.

Among these companies, two Indian firms – Tara Petroleum (Tuba Petroleum) And Tibet Petroleum Pvt. Ltd. Also included. Apart from these, action has also been taken against many Chinese companies. These companies were allegedly purchasing oil and petrochemicals from Iran and sending them to China.

Why is there so much strictness?

The US says that Iran uses the money it earns from such illegal oil trade to support groups like the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Quds Force (IRGC-QF) and the Lebanese terrorist organization Hezbollah. America considers these groups as terrorists and has banned them. America’s objective is to stop such funding to Iran, so that it cannot promote its proxy forces and peace is maintained in the region.

How were these companies working? These companies often used fake documents, fraudulent prices and shell companies, so that their real work could not be detected. In this network, a facilitator from Türkiye and two persons from China have also been identified, who were playing an important role in this entire illegal business.

It is clear from this action that America wants to keep its hold on Iran strong and will not allow any country or company to get involved in such illegal trade with Iran, which will benefit Iran and its activities will cause unrest in the region.
