News India Live, Digital Desk: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman On Thursday, many unprecedented financial inclusion schemes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi -led government have made revolutionary changes in welfare schemes in India in the last 11 years, which has banned leakage and ensured transparency.
In the last decade, the NDA government has taken important steps to take many people out of the clutches of poverty, focusing on empowerment, infrastructure and inclusion.
He informed that this system has already saved the country with leakage and disabilities of Rs 3.48 lakh crore. Also, the PM Mudra Yojana has given wings to the grassroots dreams and made entrepreneurship inclusive.
The Finance Minister said, “More than 52 crore loans worth Rs 33 lakh crore have been sanctioned under this scheme, out of which 68 percent are of women.” The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana has made banking universal. The Finance Minister said that 55.44 crore accounts have been opened under the world’s largest financial inclusion program, out of which 55.7 percent accounts are of women.
According to Prime Minister Modi, efforts made for DBT, digital inclusion and rural infrastructure have ensured transparency and fast delivery of profit to the end. Since the money goes directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries, the leakage has been curbed, resulting in the subsidy allocation from 16 percent of the total expenditure to 9 percent, as has been revealed by government data in April.
PM Modi said in a post on X, “That is why more than 25 crore people have defeated poverty. NDA is committed to creating an inclusive and self -sufficient India, where every citizen gets a chance to live with respect.”
