News India Live, Digital Desk: India’s first female spy: From 1857 to 1947, countless patriots sacrificed for India’s independence. Several protests were organized. A war was fought, in which many people lost their lives. Who knows how many brave heroes died in oblivion to liberate the country. One such brave woman is Neera Arya, who is considered the first female detective in the Indian Army. A film based on his bravery will soon be released to the audience. The film will be directed by Kannada filmmaker Rupa Iyer. In which she will also act. National Award winner Varun Gautam will write the script of this film.

Neera Arya was a brave Veerangana who killed her husband to save the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. After this, he also had to face the punishment of black water. They were often tortured in jail. But when the country became independent, no one asked about this brave woman. However, after being released from jail, Neera Arya’s life went through many bad days.

Who was Neera Arya…?

At that time Neera Arya Azad was famous as the first female detective of the Army Army. He was born on 5 March 1902 in Khekra town of Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Since childhood, Neera wanted to join the National Freedom Struggle and Azad Hind Fauj’s queen joined Jhansi Regiment. Neera Arya was in the army of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and was married to Srikanth Jai Ranjan Das.

It is said that when Srikanth came to know about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose being in the army, he started spying on him. Srikanth was a CID inspector in India, but his and Neera’s views were completely different. Once when Neera went to meet Bose, Srikanth tried to kill Subhash Chandra Bose but Neera killed her husband. For this, Neera was punished with black water in Andaman.

But still Neera did not tell anyone anything. Neera was also told that we will release it only after giving the correct information about Subhash Chandra Bose. But Neera endured torture in jail, but did not tell anyone. The book ‘First Lady Spy of INA: Neera Arya- Espionase and Heroism in the INA’ tells the story of Neera Arya, a book written by writer Farhana Taj.

As written in the book, Neera Arya was constantly asked about Netaji in jail. He then replied that Netaji died in a plane crash and this information is public. He was tortured to get an answer to this question.

One day Neera Arya said angrily, “Netaji is in my heart.” On this, the jailer said that if Netaji is in his heart then take him out. After this, a jailer tore Neera’s clothes and cut Neera Arya’s breasts from the breast reaper.

Neera Arya, who was eventually jailed, was released after independence. It is said that after this he spent the rest of his life by selling flowers. He breathed his last in Hyderabad on 26 July 1998.
