But this time the tables were turned in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). India did something which even Pakistan probably did not expect. India directly touched Pakistan’s sore spot.

There are reports that to strengthen its hold, the army is making such changes in the Constitution that the elected government will become a puppet. India made it clear that the world should see how the “power of vote” is being suppressed under the “power of the boot” (army).

Democracy’s pretense versus reality
The reality of what is called “Jamhuriyat” or democracy in Pakistan is no longer hidden from anyone. India highlighted this in the UN. When the army decides who will rule and what will be written in the Constitution, then what is the value of the common man’s vote?
