News India Live, Digital Desk: Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDU) has opened a box of happiness for the students preparing for competitive examinations. The university administration has decided to start free coaching classes for the upcoming ‘UGC-NET/JRF June 2026’ examination under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchtar Shiksha Abhiyan (PM-USHA) scheme. This initiative will prove to be a boon for those bright and financially weak students who are unable to pay the expensive coaching fees due to lack of resources. The aim of the university is that more and more students of Purvanchal can pass this prestigious examination and make their future in the field of research and teaching.
Quality of higher education will improve under PM-USHA scheme
The main objective of the PM-USHA scheme of the Central Government is to provide quality education and skill development opportunities to the students in higher educational institutions. Taking this vision forward, DDU administration has prepared a special module for the preparation of NET-JRF. Through this free coaching, students will be given guidance by experts not only for the first question paper (General Paper) but also for the second question paper of various subjects. For this, a special team of experienced professors and research scholars of the university has been prepared.
Who will be able to take benefit? Know the registration process
According to the official information released by the university, students of DDU and its affiliated colleges will be able to avail the benefit of this free coaching. The registration process for this is going to start soon. During the selection process, students belonging to reserved category and economically weaker section (EWS) may be given preference as per the government rules. Interested students have to apply by visiting the official website of the university. Batch determination may be done after application through a screening test or on the basis of merit.
Facility of expert faculty and library will be available
During coaching, students will not only be given bookish knowledge but will also be given the facility of analysis of previous year’s question papers and mock tests. Students will also be able to use the central library and digital resources of the university to sharpen their preparation. On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor said that the University is not just a center for awarding degrees, but is also a charioteer for students to reach their career goals.
There is less time left for June exams, prepare now
As the UGC-NET June examination is near, this initiative of DDU is in accordance with the need of the hour. Experts believe that after passing NET-JRF, not only does it become easier for the students to become an Assistant Professor, but after getting JRF, they also get a hefty fellowship from the government for higher research. Huge enthusiasm is being seen among the students of Gorakhpur and surrounding districts after this announcement.
