Ahmedabad: According to the recently conducted Fund Manager Survey by Bofa Securities, the Indian stock markets are most liked in the Asia Pacific (Asia Pack) region. 42%of the fund managers in the survey chose India as compared to other areas such as Japan (39%), China (6%) and Singapore (3%).
The survey suggests that India has emerged as a highly selective market, which is being seen as a potential beneficiary of the supply chain restructuring after the tariff effect. Japan has lost its top position, while China has moved from the bottom of the last month to third place. At the same time, Thailand has been the lowest favorite market.
The infrastructure and consumption in India are the major topics that investors are closely monitoring. The survey was attended by 208 participants, whose AUM was $ 522 billion. Between May 2 to 825, 174 participants with $ 458 billion AUM participated.
The changing economic development scenario has increased market expectations for favorable returns for the Asia Pacific region. However, 58 percent of people still fear a decrease in income.

Regarding China’s growing attraction, the survey said that investors are getting attracted to China and only 16 percent of investors are looking for opportunities in other markets, while the figure was 26 percent last month.
Additionally, 10 percent said that they invest completely in China. Significantly, the survey was completed on 8 May before the US-China meeting to be held in Geneva, after which the tariff cut was announced.
