IPL 2025 starts in Kolkata from today, new strict rules applicable

The Board of Control for Cricket in India made many strict rules for Team India earlier this year. Some standard operating procedures applied to the Indian team will also be seen in IPL 2025. The BCCI had already informed all 10 teams about these rules. The impact of these rules was also seen during the training camps of all teams. These new rules of IPL include the players’ visit to their family members.

What changes did BCCI make?

Some rules of standard operating procedures applied to the Indian team recently by the Board of Control for Cricket in India will also be seen in IPL 2025. Due to which the rules for players and their families have become strict. This time only authorized persons are allowed to enter the field and dressing room during the IPL. This means that this time no player’s family will be able to enter the field and they will not be allowed to go to the dressing room. Families will not be allowed to go to the dressing room even during practice. That is, the BCCI has tightened the rules regarding the presence of family members before and during the IPL matches and during that of the players and match officials.

All players will travel in the team bus.

Players are required to use the team simply for practice. This means that no player will come to practice with his car. However, teams can travel in a group of two. At the same time, members of the player’s family and friends can travel in a separate vehicle and can see the practice of the team from the hospitality. Earlier, the family members of the players could travel together in the team bus.

Throw-down expert and net bowler adopted new rule

This time in the IPL, the BCCI has also changed the throw down rules for experts and net bowlers. All teams will have to hand over the list of additional assistant staff such as throw-down experts and net bowlers to the BCCI for approval. After approval, Non-Match Day verification will be released. This had never happened before. The teams used to include any player in their team as a net bowler. At the same time, if the players forget to bring their recognition card at the match site, then they will be fined. Loose and sleeveless clothes are not allowed, not even during the presentation after the match.
