Washington: A big news has come out from the White House regarding the ongoing war between America and Iran. US President Donald Trump has made it clear that America is not going to get involved in this war for long and the American army will withdraw from Iran very soon. While talking to news agency Reuters, Trump disclosed his ‘exit plan’ and said that America’s main goal has been achieved, but if necessary, ‘small attacks’ (Spot Hits) will continue to be carried out on Iran in the future.
‘Iran will never be able to make a nuclear bomb again’
Trump made it clear that after this gruesome military action, America has achieved its biggest victory. He claimed that Iran is never capable of acquiring nuclear weapons. When Trump was asked an exact date for the end of the war, he said, “I can’t give a specific time yet, but we will be out of there very soon.” According to Trump, America’s initial and most important goals have been accomplished, so there is no point in keeping the army there now.
Limited military operations and ‘spot hits’ strategy
It is clearly visible from President Trump’s statements that America is viewing this war as a ‘limited military campaign’ and not as an endless war. He said, “We will withdraw our entire army and people from there, but if Iran tries to raise its head again, we will come back and launch small and precise attacks (spot hits) on them.” This simply means that instead of permanently deploying millions of troops there, America is keeping options like airstrike or surgical strike open as per the need.
Trump angry at NATO, threatened to pull America out
Amidst the Iran war, Trump also vented his anger on his Western allies. He strongly criticized the military alliance ‘NATO’ and said that NATO countries did not support America at all on the issue of Iran. Trump’s displeasure was so much that he said he would ‘seriously consider’ pulling America out of NATO completely. This terrible threat of Trump has given sleepless nights to the countries of Europe, because NATO is considered the biggest backbone of European security.
