Nowadays Aadhar Card has become for us not just an identity card but a very important document. Be it opening a bank account, getting a new SIM card, or taking advantage of any government scheme, it is needed everywhere.

But have you ever wondered which of your mobile numbers is linked with your Aadhar card? Many times we change the number and forget to update it in Aadhaar. This small carelessness can cause big problems later. Therefore it is very important to know which of your numbers is linked to Aadhaar.

Find out this way sitting at home in just 2 minutes

The government has made this facility very easy, so that anyone can check it themselves. All you have to do is follow the easy steps given below:

  1. First of all go to MyAadhaar portal of UIDAI.
  2. Enter your 12 digit Aadhaar number there.
  3. Now enter the mobile number you want to check.
  4. A security code (captcha) will appear on the screen, fill it and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.

If the number you entered is linked to Aadhaar, a message will appear on the screen that this number is already verified in our records. (“The mobile number you have entered is already verified with our records.”)

If don’t remember which number is linked?

Often we do not remember which number we had linked. There is also a very easy way for this. You can use the ‘Check Aadhaar Validity’ facility on the UIDAI website. As soon as you enter your Aadhaar number there, you will see the last three digits of your registered mobile number. With this you will immediately remember which mobile number is yours.

What to do if the number is wrong or old?

It is very important to note that due to security reasons you cannot change the mobile number online. For this you will have to go to your nearest Aadhaar Seva Centre. If you want to avoid long queues, you can book an appointment online from the comfort of your home.

In today’s time, to avoid any online fraud, it is important that your current mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar.
