News India Live, Digital Desk: Foreign minister Dr. S. Jaishankar Talked with Cyprus’s Foreign Minister Constantinose Komboos to strengthen bilateral relations. He also thanked for the support of Cyprus in India’s fight against terrorism.
The meeting matches India’s diplomatic contact campaign as part of Operation Operation Sindoor, under which Indian MPs are visiting various countries to highlight India’s efforts to deal with Pakistan -backed border terrorism.
The Foreign Minister wrote, “Cyprus had a warm conversation with Foreign Minister @Ckombos. There was a discussion to strengthen bilateral partnership and India-European Union relations. I appreciate the support given by Cyprus in dealing with terrorism.”
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Cyprus in 1962, bilateral relations between the two countries have been traditionally very close and friendly.
In addition, Cyprus has supported India on several important issues, including India’s election, Indo-US civil nuclear agreement, NSG and IAEA, said the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
