Today in this article we will tell you how Airtel and Jio users can switch to SIM card instead of physical SIM card.

First of all you need to know whether your handset supports SIM or not. Most midrange smart phones and premium smartphones have SIM functionality. You can check the SIM by visiting the phone's product page or the phone company's website. If your phone supports SIM then you can get SIM by following the steps given below.

Follow these steps to get Airtel eSIM.

Step 1: First of all open the message on your smartphone.

Step 2: Now go to compose message and write 'eSIM' on your registered mail ID and send the message to 121.

Step 3: Once send the message, you will get a reply. Out of which you have to select 1 number.

Step 4: Now you will get another message from the number 121 itself, in which you will be asked to make a call. Once you say yes on the phone, you will get a QR code on the registered mail ID.

Step 5: Now you have to go to Settings and go to Mobile Data. Where you have to click on add data plan.

Step 6: If you want to use an eSIM, choose whether to keep it primary or secondary. And finally click on Done.

Once you follow this process, the eSIM will be activated in your phone within a few hours.

Jio users have to follow the steps given below to activate e-SIM.

Step 1: First of all open the message on your smartphone.

Step 2: Now go to compose message and write 'eSIM' on your registered mail ID and send the message to 199.

Step 3: Now type 1 in reply and send the message.

Step 4: Later you will get a message from the number 199, asking you to give your verbal consent over the phone. Once you say yes verbally, you will receive a QR code on email.

Step 5: Now you have to go to Settings, Mobile Data and click on Add Data Plan.

Step 6: Now you have to go to Settings and go to Mobile Data. Where you have to click on add data plan.

Step 7: If you want to use an eSIM, choose whether to keep it primary or secondary. And finally click on Done.
