In this holy month, the Ekadashi of Krishna Paksha, which is called “Kamika Ekadashi”. This Ekadashi is considered not only to wash sins, but also to give countless virtues, which removes all the sufferings of life and every wish is fulfilled. What is the importance of Kamika Ekadashi? The importance of Kamika Ekadashi is described in detail in religious scriptures. It is said that the person observing this fast gives many big benefits: Destroying sins: This Ekadashi destroys all sins in life and unknowingly. Even Brahmasia (which is considered to be the greatest sin) like the great sages. Ganga bath and the fruit of big donations: Fasting of Kamika Ekadashi gives many yagyas, bathing in the Ganges river and big donations like cow donations, land donations, gold donations equal or even more virtue. Command Ekadashi Vrat Katha: According to the legend, there was a righteous king in ancient times, whose name was Mahjeet. Everything in his kingdom was happiness and prosperity, but the king had no children, which he used to be very sad. He asked his subjects and scholars the reason for this. When the king who wanted the welfare of the subjects reached the sage Lomesh with his problem, the sage knew the sins of his previous birth with his yoga force. The sage said that the king had deliberately persecuted the hungry Brahmin sitting in search of his food on the banks of a pond in the previous life. Due to this sin, he is not getting child happiness in this birth. Then the sage Lamesh advised the king to fasten Kamika Ekadashi for freedom from sin and to get children. Raja Mahjeet fasted Kamika Ekadashi with his queen and subjects with full reverence. Due to the effect of this fast, all his sins were washed away and he received a son Ratna. This story is a proof that the fast of Kamika Ekadashi can remove all obstacles by purifying and trusting the mind and can fulfill the biggest desires. This fast is a simple and powerful way to destroy sins and earn unlimited virtue.
