Lucknow 20 December 2025: Today from 11.00 am, an important state level workshop of officers working under Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya at Visvesvaraya Auditorium, Public Works Department Headquarters, Lucknow. District Mission Managers (DMM – District Mission Manager, Rural Livelihood Mission) and Block Mission Managers (BMM – Block Mission Manager, Rural Livelihood Mission) from different districts of the state participated in this workshop.
During the workshop, Shri Maurya ji will review the progress of the schemes run under the Rural Livelihood Mission, discuss the challenges coming at the ground level and provide necessary guidelines to achieve the goals of the mission more effectively. The Deputy Chief Minister will also give guidance to the officers for better coordination and effective implementation as per the objectives of the mission.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that the workshop will give new impetus to programs related to self-employment, women empowerment and livelihood promotion of rural women in rural areas. Special emphasis is being laid on the need to increase the number of Lakhpati Didios, ensure activation of Namo Drone Didios, increase the number of groups and activate inactive groups.
During the program, Shri Maurya ji also presented information about the achievements of Rural Livelihood Mission, ongoing schemes and future action plans by the officials. The Deputy Chief Minister instructed the officials that the benefits of the schemes should reach the person standing in the last queue with transparency and timeliness.
The Deputy Chief Minister honored the BC Sakhiyo, Vidyut Sakhiyo, Lakhpati Didyo and the Didyos working in THR plants who did excellent work during the workshop by giving them citations. A symbolic check for bank credit linkage worth approximately Rs 400 crore will be distributed. MoU for BC Sakhi program will be signed with four nationalized banks – Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank, Central Bank of India and Union Bank. Cadre honorarium portal will be launched. Three DMMs and BMMs who did the best work in the state were honored with citations and letters of comfort will be issued to 5 promoters and completion certificates will be distributed to 5 promoters on which subsidy of approximately Rs 7.34 crore will be paid. Apart from this, 5 District Resource Persons, 5 beneficiaries of PM FME Scheme and 11 officers of Food Processing Department were given citation for their good work. Chief development officers of Kanpur city, Bareilly, Sultanpur and Prayagraj were honored for taking special interest in establishing food processing industry.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Rural Development Mrs. Vijay Lakshmi Gautam, Chief Secretary Horticulture and Food Processing Department Mr. B.L. Meena, Principal Secretary Rural Development Mr. Saurabh Babu, Commissioner Rural Development Mr. G.S. Priyadarshi, Mission Director Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission Mrs. Deepa Ranjan, Special Secretary/Director Food Processing Mr. T.K. Shibu, GM Union Bank of India Mr. Rajesh Kumar, GM Bank of Baroda Mr. Amarendra Kumar and other dignitaries. A large number of friends from the districts participated along with the guests/departmental officers.
