It is a dish that tastes your heart along with taste. Often it seems a little difficult to make Kofta Curry at home, but believe, with this easy recipe, you will be able to prepare delicious Kofta curry like dhaba at home!

Required materials to make Kofta Curry:
For Kofta:

Paneer – 200 grams (grated)

Boiled Potatoes – 2 medium sized (grated)

Finely chopped green chillies – 1
-
Chopped coriander leaf – 2 tablespoons
-
Cornfallor or Besan – 2 tablespoons (for binding)
-
Red chili powder – ½ tsp
-
Garam Masala – ½ tsp
-
Salt – as per taste
-
Oil – to fry
For gravy:
-
Onion – 2 medium sized (finely chopped or paste)
-
Tomato – 2 medium sized (paste)
-
Ginger-garlic paste-1 tbsp
-
Green Chilli – 1 (cut from the middle)
-
Fast leaves – 1
-
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
-
Green Cardamom – 2
-
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
-
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
-
Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
-
Garam Masala – 1 tsp
-
Kasuri Methi – 1 teaspoon (mashed by hand)

Fresh Cream or Cashew Paste – 2 tablespoons (to make gravy rich, optional)

Salt – as per taste

Oil-2-3 tbsp
Method of preparation:

Coffee:
-
Add grated cheese and potatoes in a large bowl. Add green chillies, coriander leaves, cornflour/gram flour, red chili powder, garam masala and salt. Knead everything well and make it like a soft flour.

Now make small rounds or koftas of your choice shaped with this mixture.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry the koftas on medium flame till they turn golden brown. After frying, take them out on the kitchen towel so that excess oil is removed.

Gravy making:

Heat oil in a deep pan or pan. Add bay leaves, cinnamon and green cardamom.

Now add chopped onion (or onion paste) and fry till it becomes golden. Add ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chili and fry for one minute.

Add tomato paste and fry until the oil starts separating.

Add red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt and mix well. Add a little water (about half cup) and fry the spices well until the oil starts separating.

If you want to make gravy more rich, add cream or cashew paste and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Now add water as per your choice (as much thick gravy), let a boil come. Leave the flame and let it cook for 5-7 minutes so that the gravy becomes thick.

Mash Kasuri Methi by hand and mix in the gravy.

Serving Kofta Curry:

When you are going to serve Kofta curry, then put the fried koftas in the gravy. If you put first, then the koftas can dissolve. Allow the koftas cook with gravy on low flame for 5 minutes, so that they absorb the gravy.

Garnish the hot coffee curry with coriander leaves. Serve it with hot rice, roti, naan or casserole.
