News India Live, Digital Desk: Nowadays, most of us look for the mobile kept near the pillow as soon as we open our eyes. Checking WhatsApp or scrolling reels has become our morning habit. But just think, our ancestors or elders did not do this, yet their mind remained more calm and focused than us. Why after all? The answer to this is hidden in a very old, but very effective method of our scriptures, which is called Trikaal Sandhya,
Hearing the name, you might think that this is a very difficult puja in which you will have to sit for hours, but it is not so at all. Trikal Sandhya simply means connecting yourself with God and the power of the universe at three specific times of the day.
What is the simple meaning of Trikal Sandhya?
‘Tri’ means three and ‘Kaal’ means time. That is, morning (sunrise), afternoon (when the sun is overhead) and evening (sunset). This is the time when the energy of the day is changing. Just as we charge our phones to function throughout the day, Trikaal Sandhya is our way of charging the batteries of our soul and mind.
The most important and easiest part of this is the morning part.
The world is hidden in the palms: ‘Karagre Vasate Lakshmi’
The scriptures say that before leaving the bed in the morning, you should join your palms and look at them. This is what we can call the first ‘evening’. Lakshmi (wealth) is considered to reside in the front part of our hands, Saraswati (knowledge) in the middle and Govind (God) in the root.
When you wake up in the morning and say this mantra“Karagre Vasate Lakshmi, Karamadhya Saraswati, Karamule Tu Govind, Prabhate Kardarshanam”
So you give a positive message to your day. Also understand its psychological meaning – it reminds us that our future is in our own hands, that is, our ‘karma’.
What will be the benefit of this?
If you regularly meditate on God thrice a day, even if only for a couple of minutes, the results are amazing.
- mantle piece: In this busy life, it is necessary to press that ‘Pause’ button. Trikaal Sandhya calms your mind.
- Remove negativity: Morning and evening time—these are the times when negative thoughts can dominate. Mantras and prayers act as a shield.
- Focus: When you start the day with “belief in your actions”, your entire day becomes productive.
So tomorrow morning after the alarm rings, look at your palms, not your mobile. You will feel the change yourself.
