A YouTuber from Uttar Pradesh has come under the radar of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as the probe agency reportedly conducted raids against him in a money laundering case on Thursday.
A case has been registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) and the investigation relates to “illegal” online betting. According to the report of news agency PTI, the agency raided nine locations including the house of YouTuber Anurag Dwivedi. During the search, ED seized four luxury cars.
The report states that the YouTuber is currently living in Dubai and has been summoned several times by the ED for questioning, but has not yet given a statement.
Who is Anurag Dwivedi?
Dwivedi is a resident of Khajur village and has been associated with online gaming for the last seven years. He makes videos related to cricket and cricketers on social media and has a huge number of followers.
He recently married his girlfriend on a cruise in Dubai.

Authorities have claimed that Dwivedi played a role in promoting illegal online betting platforms.
It is noteworthy that during the search, the officials also found documents which showed that the YouTuber had used the money earned from illegal betting to invest in real estate in Dubai through “Hawala”.
Meanwhile, during the raid, officials have seized a Lamborghini Urus, a Mercedes, a Ford Endeavor and a Mahindra Thar belonging to the YouTuber.
Apart from cars, documents related to bank transactions, property papers and some digital devices were also seized in the raid.
