News India Live, Digital Desk: Bihar Elections 2025: Prior to Bihar Assembly Election 2025, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), who is involved in the Grand Alliance has also submitted its claim in some seats in Bihar. Regarding this, there is a continuous round of meetings between the parties of the Grand Alliance. In this connection, an important meeting of prominent leaders of the grand alliance took place in Patna, in which top leaders of JMM also participated.
What is JMM strategy?
JMM wants some seats in the border areas of Bihar (especially areas adjacent to Jharkhand), where it is traditionally holding a little bit. It is being told that this time the party is keen to field its candidates in three to four seats this time. He argues that these seats are such where their votes can benefit the grand alliance, or where JMM’s own workers are strong.
Confusion of Grand Alliance:
Now, while there are big parties like RJD and Congress on one side, small allies are also trying to get maximum seats. In such a situation, JMM’s claim has created a difficulty for the grand alliance. They have to decide whether JMM should be given seats according to their demands, or a balanced decision should be taken in view of the mass base of the big parties.

In this meeting held in Patna, in -charge of Bihar Congress and senior leaders of Rashtriya Janata Dal discussed the seat sharing formula with JMM leaders. In this, the political equation of the seats claimed by JMM, the overall strategy of the potential candidates and the coalition took place. There is no news of reaching any final agreement yet, but the round of meetings is going on, which is expected to find a solution soon.
Elections on elections:
If JMM gets seats as expected, it will boost the unity of the Grand Alliance and the morale of the cadres working on the ground. All these small parties can also play the role of kingmaker in elections, so ignoring their claim can be expensive for any party.
