Learn to reset irctc password in a more easy steps

Many people have to face similar problems while logging on to the website or app of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC). But there is no need to panic anymore! IRCTC has provided very simple ways to reset passwords for its users, which you can easily use through your registered mobile number or email ID.

Reset the password using the mobile number:

First of all, go to the official website of IRCTC www.irctc.co.in or open the Rail Connect app. You will get the option of ‘Forgot Password’ or ‘Forgot Password’, on which you have to click. As soon as you click here, a new page will open where you will be asked to fill your IRCTC user ID, the mobile number registered by you and the captcha code visible on the screen. After filling all this information correctly, click on the ‘Continue’ button. Next, a one-time password (OTP) will come on your registered mobile number. Fill this OTP at the designated place. Then you will be asked to create a new password and confirm it. Choose a new strong password and note it safely so that there is no chance of forgetting in future. As soon as you do ‘update password’ or ‘submit’, your password will be reset and you will be able to login easily with a new password.

Reset password using email ID:

If you want to reset the password via email instead of a mobile number, then it is also almost the same as the mobile process. You will again have to go to the ‘Forgot Password’ section on the IRCTC website. There you will be asked to enter the user ID, the email address and captcha code you have registered. After filling all the information correctly, do ‘Continue’. IRCTC will send a password reset link to your registered email address. Go to your email inbox and click on this link. This link will take you directly to a page where you can set your new password. Create a strong password that includes letters, numbers and special signs, and confirm it. After successfully submitting, your password will change and you will be able to easily login to your IRCTC account for your rail ticket booking or other services.
