The tension has increased further after the extraordinary deployment of the National Guard on Sunday by President Donald Trump.

Protests began on Friday in Los Angeles’ downtown against immigration repression in the area. The deployment of about 300 federal soldiers created anger and fear among the local people, causing clashes with the authorities. The protests became violent when some protesting guards came closer to the members, causing the authorities to fire smoke on the road. Los Angeles Police Department fired ammunition for mob-control to disperse the crowd.

Protests on Sunday increased due to the deployment of the National Guard and spread to the Latino city Paramount and neighboring Competon, located in the south of the city. The protesters also gathered outside the Metropolitan Detention Center, where those detained during the raid were kept. He raised slogans of “shame” and “go home” on the National Guard personnel stationed outside, while the law enforcement fired tear gas, smoke canister and rubber bullets to deal with the crowd.

Governor Gavin Nosam objected to the deployment of the National Guard and sent a letter to Trump stating that the presence of the guard is “increasing tension” in the city.
