Lucknow Traffic Alert Assembly session begins, these roads of Hazratganj are locked, check the new map before leaving home

News India Live, Digital Desk: If you live in Lucknow and are thinking of taking your car today to ‘Ganjing’ (visiting Hazratganj) or going towards Vidhan Sabha Marg for some work, then stop! This plan of yours can get you stuck in a huge traffic jam.

The Uttar Pradesh Assembly session has started, and as always happens, the vehicles of the leaders are stuck inside and the people outside! Due to security reasons, Lucknow Police Commissionerate has completely changed the traffic routes in the VIP areas of the city.

Where are there restrictions? (avoid going here)
If you do not have urgent work, then avoid going around Vidhan Sabha and Hazratganj. the police Entry of general vehicles has been stopped on the routes around the assembly.
Especially these areas will be affected:

1. Hazratganj Square: The road leading to the assembly from here may be closed or diverted.
2. Royal Hotel Chauraha: Barricading can be seen here.
3. Bapu Bhawan and DSO intersection: There will be movement of MLAs and ministers on these routes, hence the general public may have to take diversion.
4. Via Bandariabagh and Raj Bhavan: There will be strictness here also.

They will get exemptions
There is no need to panic, if there is any emergency the police will help you. The traffic police has given clear instructions that:

• Ambulance/Fire Brigade: They have complete freedom to go by any route.
• School Buses: Vehicles carrying school children will not be stopped.
• Hearse: These have also been exempted from diversion.
• Patients going for treatment: If someone is taking the patient in a private vehicle, the police will let them go.

Advice for the general public (you)
Police say that this diversion will remain in force as long as the assembly proceedings continue (usually till evening).

• Use Metro: If you have to go to Hazratganj or Secretariat, then leave the car and take Lucknow Metro. This is the smartest way.
• Alternative routes: If you want to go from Charbagh to Hazratganj, then you should use Kaiserbagh or other outer roads (Ring Roads).
