But the head of Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, Maulana Mahmood Madani Has deeply hurt this thinking and given rise to a new debate.

Madani says that Jihad was a very sacred word, but the enemies of Islam have made it synonymous with “abuse” as part of a conspiracy.

People get scared after seeing beard and cap

Madani also expressed concern over the misconceptions spread in the society. He said that the environment has been created such that if a person keeps a beard or wears a cap, he is looked at with suspicion. Negativity is also being spread regarding Madrasas.

But he also said that “all these things cannot break us. We do not need to be ashamed of our identity.”

Governments come and go

Madani also said a big thing on the current political environment of the country and the fear spread among Muslims. He advised the community that “there is no need to be afraid of changing systems and changing governments.”
Madani reminded that India belongs to Muslims as much as it belongs to anyone else. He said, “This country is ours. We do not need anyone’s certificate here. Instead of being disappointed, we should maintain unity and contribute to the progress of the country.”

What message does Madani want to convey?

This statement of Maulana Mahmood Madani was not just a complaining tone, but a message. He wanted to show that changing the meaning of words does not change the truth. His emphasis was that Muslims would have to come out of their “Mazlumiyat” (sense of being a victim) and make their place through education and service.
