Make in India has become just assembly, where is the real manufacturing

He has clearly stated that this plan is only named and its real purpose is not being fulfilled. According to Rahul Gandhi, in the name of ‘Make in India’, only ‘assembly’ is being done in India, that is, we import and add them here and bring them here, while ‘real manufacturing’ (manufacturing) means making things from the beginning to end.

Comparison of India with China and Taiwan:
To prove his argument, Rahul Gandhi gave the example of China and Taiwan. He explained that if you look at these countries, you will find that they not only assemble the products, but also make the complex components within those products themselves. Their emphasis was that real employment arises only when we start completely manufacturing things inside the country, instead of that we depend on other countries and only bring the parts created by them here.

Questions on employment generation and advocacy of MSMEs:
Rahul Gandhi claimed that due to this ‘assembly model’, the required amount of employment in India is not being created. They believe that the policies of the government are paying more attention to large industries, causing small and medium industries that are considered to be the country’s economic backbone (MICRO, Small and Medium Enterprises) and farmers are not getting enough support. He emphasized that if India has to move forward in the true sense and fight the problem of unemployment, it will have to promote real manufacturing and strengthen the MSME sector and farmers.
